Get Paid to Speak Out for Animals on Your Campus—Become an SOS Campus Rep

Want to take your activism up a notch and save animals like it’s your job? If you’re eligible and accepted, you can become a Students Opposing Speciesism (SOS) campus rep—and get paid $60 for each outreach event that you host on your campus. We’ll provide all the materials that you need for free, and you’ll be paired with an SOS staff member, who will help guide your events, advise on club management, and develop strategies for your campaigns to advance the cause of animal liberation.

Here’s what else you’ll get if you become a rep:

  • Free animal rights–themed materials—from merch for your personal use (shirts, hats, and more) to stickers, leaflets, and other items to hand out to make a difference
  • One-on-one guidance with peta2 staff who can help you with your campaigns every step of the way!
  • Access to speakers who can present about animal rights issues at your university
  • Reimbursement for approved actions (like food giveaways and more!)
  • Opportunities to connect with like-minded activists through in-person retreats
  • Assistance with club recruitment

“The rep program has helped my campus activism by encouraging me to get out there and spread the message to my fellow peers throughout the semester. The kits provided facilitate doing outreach and having an advisor to help me plan ahead and provide guidance has also been a great resource for staying active for the animals.”

Ana Castillo, Texas State University

“I am so grateful for the Campus Rep Program, because I have always wanted to speak up for animals but never knew how. I had never run my own table or handed out leaflets, or anything like that. The program was such an important steppingstone for me to learn how to be the best activist I can for animals.”

Starlynn Costa, University of South Alabama

The rep program has helped me by providing me with resources that make my activism more effective. By planning with SOS, I have been able to acquire vegan foods that make students more likely to approach our table and listen to our activism. Not only resources, but also through the rep program I am able to discuss with my mentor and develop better on campus activism ideas.
